  • All teams must use the RSG Discord during their games. This is to make interviews and any disputes quick and simple.
  • Every game will be a best of 5, meaning the highest seed team will choose between hosting maps 1,3,5 or 2 and 4.
  • Seeding will be randomly generated at the start of the league, and recorded so everyone can see, going into playoffs the current league standings at the end of the season will determine the seed you receive. This will come down to overall series wins, round count and possibly a tie breaker if needed going to playoffs.
  • Hosting- During regular season the seed of each team determines who hosts first map 1,3,5. Seeding from regular season determines who hosts Winners bracket and Losers bracket round one. For the remainder of the losers bracket, the team coming form the winners bracket hosts 1,3,5.
  • When hosting matches you must put the Match ID in the RSG Discord channel ” Match ID” and @ the other captain.
  • If someone is suspected of cheating, they must monitor CAM upon an admin’s request. If you are playing a team and think they are cheating then it is on you and your team to supply proof to an RSG admin, the admin will then make a decision if the player must monitor cam or not.

  • It’s the player’s responsibility to know and follow all rules and GA’s.
  • RSG reserves the right to change the format/rules at any time.
  • All decisions made by an RSG Official are final. RSG officials will not tolerate abuse or toxic behavior at any time and players will receive punishment for doing so.

*Also I just wanted to add that I myself have been apart of the competitive community for a long time now so I’m aware of how toxic it can be, we are doing the complete opposite here. Its totally fine to banter with each other, shit talk, shoot bodies, and all those types of things BUT one thing we will not tolerate is personal attacks on someone. What I mean by this is if you want to shoot bodies and call people trash then go right ahead but there is a ZERO tolerance of personal attacks, such as bringing up someone’s personal life, appearance, family, racism, or anything serious along those terms. We are aware that there is a lot of money on the line and tension will rise but at the end of the day we want everyone to have fun and get better as the season goes, we DO NOT want people to be turned away from the league or competitive community as a whole because of a few bad apples. So please keep the banter COD or in game related only! We do not want a toxic league.

Usage of Restricted Items

Usage of a restricted item in a live supported match or tournament will result in a forfeit of the most recent round played. If you see your opponents using a restricted item you must leave the game the following round and request an admin in your match chat for further assistance.

PC Stream Requirements:
All PC players must stream with past broadcasts enabled so the VOD of the match is available. All streams are required to have audio (gameplay and voice communication) during matches. Voice changers are not allowed.

Live Support Matches:

  1. You are responsible to stream every match you play with past broadcasts enabled regardless if your opponent requests or not.
  2. If the opposing team cannot provide stream proof before the match start time you must treat it as a no show. You can dispute the match and request an admin in your match chat for assistance.

Enabling Past Broadcasts:

  1. For assistance enabling your past broadcasts, please refer to this video: https://gyazo.com/531223c77e2eeab878f0e9fda1963f4f. Once you change this setting, you must turn your stream off and back on again so the setting saves.
  2. All players are required to leave their past broadcasts up for AT LEAST 72 hours following their match to combat any hacking accusations that are made.
  3.  If your past broadcasts are not enabled, deleted, or are edited in any way, it will be at the admins discretion to issue a replay, forfeit, or cancel of the match.

Cheating:

  1. Here at RSG we have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who is cheating/hacking in any way. If we find that you are using a 3rd party software/device to cheat you will be permanently banned from the league and all future events.
  2. Admins may require additional proof from any user who we may suspect of cheating/hacking. Failure to provide additional proof may result in a ban/forfeit of your match.

LIVE SUPPORT AND TOURNAMENT MATCHES:

Search and Destroy

  1. With all private matches being ran through dedicated servers we will not be issuing round replays unless everyone in the lobby was lagging. Proof of lag from more than one member’s perspective must be submitted so long as the match is larger than a 1v1 to ensure it is the server lagging and not the individual player’s connection.
  2. In the event of the host leaving the game or their game crashing it will crash the dedicated server. If the host crashes the dedicated server after 15 seconds OR after a first blood has been made the hosting team will forfeit the round.

Hardpoint

  1. With all private matches being ran through dedicated servers we will not be issuing map replays unless everyone in the lobby was lagging. Proof of lag from more than one member’s perspective must be submitted so long as the match is larger than a 1v1 to ensure it is the server lagging and not the individual player’s connection.
  2. If there is a disconnection the game must be completed. The player may be reinvited and rejoin during the match to be finished.

Glitches
Using any in game exploit will result in a forfeit of the round or map depending on the severity of the exploit eg:

  1. Planting/defusing through unbroken destructible structures
  2. Going to out of bounds “glitch” spots

Wong Rules:

  1. If the hosting team hosts the wrong rules, you must submit in-game proof of the rules being wrong. If the rules are found to be wrong the hosting team will forfeit 1 round. In the scenario of it being 5-5 round count, if a banned item is used and that team wins the round to go 6-5, that team will be deducted a round meaning the team that caused the offense would be 4-5 down.
  2. If there are wrong rules and a match is played to completion it will stand unless the affected rule being broken only affects the final round.
  3. If your team is listed to host a map and your team decides to let your opponents host and the rules are wrong, it is the admin’s discretion if the round will be forfeited or not for wrong rules.

Submitting Proof / Activison ID

All proof must be in video format

  1. If you do not use a DVR feature, you risk your proof being considered “Insufficient.” We HIGHLY suggest you use your console’s DVR feature for proof.
  2. For proof to be considered valid, it must have the full scoreboard with gamertags and all applicable game information including the proof method used for the game, with the proof being clear enough for staff to read it.
  3. If you are unable to provide valid proof of winning your match, you risk receiving a loss or the match being replayed.
  4. Conversations outside of RSG may not be considered valid proof; this includes, but is not limited to: Twitter conversations, PMs, Skype, or messages through Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. This means messages are NOT a form of valid proof.

Activision ID

  1. Your Acitivison ID must match exactly how it is displayed on your Call of Duty profile. In the event that a gamer tag does not match your match details page, you must treat it as a no show.
  2. Your Activision ID is located on the top right corner of the multiplayer menu, or if you hit Options > Account > Activision Account. We need the Activision ID including the “#1234” if they are present.
  3. RSG reserves the right for our administrators to approve of a gamertag in some instances. The opponents will be notified and an RSG Tournament Admin must approve.
  4. If a match is played to completion on incorrect Activision IDs, the outcome of the match will stand.

Game Rules

  1. Finding a Match:  For a 2v2 tournament, all four (4) players will join one lobby and search for a squad game.
  2. Win Condition: The winning team will be determined by the team with the largest number of total kills over two games played. If their is a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by the last team that has a player still standing. If that is still a tie then the winner will be decided by the team that got the final kill.
    • Note: Players that are downed are NOT considered standing.
    • Kills made after a match has concluded will not count. Once no player is left standing, the match is concluded.
      • Example: Players A, B, and C are all dead. Player D is still standing. If Player A gets a kill, that kill will count towards the team’s overall score. The second that player D dies, no other kills that occur after Player D’s death will be counted.
  3. Griefing: Teams are permitted to work together, however, you may not intentionally cause the death of your opponent or negatively impact your opponent’s gameplay. This includes sabotaging structures, causing fall damage, or any other negative interference in your opponents gameplay. Doing so will result in a forfeit of kills for that map.
  4. Cross Platform: Cross platform is permitted. Players can play on either PS4 Console, Xbox console, PC and switch for online events, and PS4 with controller, PS4 with keyboard and mouse, or Xbox with controller. Xbox doesn’t have a keyboard and mouse option yet.

Bracket Play

  1. Single Elimination: After losing a match, teams will be eliminated from the bracket.
  2. Default Start Time: All round one (1) matches have the same default start time. After round one (1), all Matches have a unique default start time that is dependent upon the time at which the teams’ previous round results were submitted. Matches must be started by their default start time and played until completion. Postponing matches is only at the discretion of Online Tournament staff.
  3. Double Forfeit: If a match is not played and neither team submits a ticket requesting the forfeit win, or both teams otherwise forfeit a game/match, the game/match win will be awarded to the higher seeded team.
  4. Seeding: Teams will be randomly seeded at of the close of registration. Seeds are done in ascending order. The higher seed is determined by the team with the seed closest to zero (0).
    • Example: Seed four (4) is a higher seed than seed ten (10).

All Matches

Teams can request that a tournament official enforce this five minute time limit. After five minutes of a tournament official enforced delay, if the delaying team does not have the minimum required players, they will forfeit the match.
  3. Minimum Required Players: Teams may be short handed by one player in order to start a game. A Team will Forfeit the Match if they are missing all of their players 15 minutes after a Match’s default start time (Grace Period). Teams will be forced to start a Game at the end of a Grace Period as outlined in the No Show proceedure.
  4. Lag: As the game is hosted on dedicated servers, replays will not be issued for lag.
